			Date of birth: 20th February 1940 Place of birth: Vienna Family status: Married (3 children) Rudolf EDLINGER studied lithography. He graduated from business college and finished a course in Promotion and Sales at the Vienna University of Economics by taking evening courses. since 1969 Elected Mandatory 1969 - 1986 Delegate of the Viennese Parliament 1986 - 1997 of the Viennese Federal State Government 1997 - 2000 Austrian Finance Minister 2000 - 2003 National Council Delegate since 2003 Retired In 1946 Rudolf Edlinger was taken by his uncle, who had a seat on the running track, to the Pfarrwiese. Since then he has been a Rapid fan. Since 1989 he has belonged to the board of trustees at SK Rapid and in 1994 he became the chairman. In October 2001 he was elected as President of SK RAPID. His own playing days were limited – from 1956 to 1959, he played in the youths teams of NAC.

This was the starting point for football in his life, especially his passion for Rapid.
