The Special Needs Team

The SK Rapid Special Needs Team, as it is officially called, is comprised of sixteen players aged approximately 16-35, who have various mental and/ or physical disabilities.

Once a week the team completes a training session under the watchful gaze of Youth Team Trainer Jürgen Kerber (Youth Academy U-14s), Matias Costa and Dominik Formann (a former Rapid youth and academy player). The team takes part in friendly matches and tournaments – both nationally and internationally. However there is no regular league competition.
