Donation to long-term supporters Samariterbund

For many years now the help organisation “Samariterbund” has been an important partner of SK Rapid. The Vienna branch of the Samariterbund also looks after institutions for homeless people and refugees and was (and currently still is) urgently seeking more protective masks, as well as footballs.

Christoph Peschek handed over a donation of several boxes of our popular Rapid protective masks, green and white disinfecting hand-sanitiser and a number of adidas footballs in front of the Allianz Stadium. Samariterbund managing director Oliver Löhlein and Herbert Hofmann, the chairman of the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus group who provide first aid for the sick and injured at all of our team's home games in Hütteldorf, were delighted to attend the handover ceremony on behalf of the residents of the facilities looked after by the Vienna Samariterbund.

Speaking after the handover, and whilst maintaining the required distance, Peschek spoke to Rapid TV: "At SK Rapid we are always aware of our social and societal responsibilities. We are pleased to be able to give the Vienna Samariterbund a little help and are glad to have provided protective masks, hand disinfectants and footballs for the social institutions of the Samariterbund in our home city. The Samariterbund is a long-standing partner which has been there for decades at our home games and events looking after the health of our fans, and also of players, and we are all the more pleased that we can support them in some way with these donations in kind, especially in times that are so difficult for all of us."
