UCL Qualifiers - We're off to Zagreb!
Although potential draws included Greek side PAOK and Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, SK Rapid were instead drawn to meet NK Lokomotiva Zagreb of Croatia, away from home. The match will be played on either the 25th or 26th of August. All further information will be provided in the next few days.
Head coach Didi Kühbauer: "Of course we would have liked to have had a home game, but on the other hand you can't choose anything in a draw. Lok Zagreb are a team that have had a very good season. If you take Besiktas or PAOK, for example, or any other team, their names may be further up, but it would be fatal for us to think that this will be an easy task. We will definitely take a team which has done so well in the Croatian championship very seriously, so that we can progress. We'll certainly need to have a good game, that's clear."
Managing Director of Sport Zoran Barisic: "We'll take our opponents as they come. We have a fairly young team ahead of us which played some attractive football last season, and we will be looking closely at them. It will be very challenging because this one game will decide everything. We want to do everything we can on our side to win!"
