On Tuesday it was announced that the club had agreed a one-year contract extension with Steffen Hofmann, meaning his love affair with the club will continue until summer 2018/19!
Wien Energie to remain SK Rapid’s main sponsor until 2019
Wien Energie will remain the club’s main sponsor up until the end of the 2018/19 season at the earliest. The extension to the partnership between Austria’s biggest energy supplier and the nation’s most decorated football club was announced at a press conference two days before the cup final clash against Salzburg.
U-15: Rapid march to fourth tournament win!
Now a bit of a tradition in its own right, the 5th International SK Rapid U15 VARTA-Tournament took place on the weekend, and happily back in its rightful home in Hütteldorf in and around the Allianz Stadium.

Rapid sign off with final day success
Rapid welcomed SKN St. Pölten to Hütteldorf for their last Bundesliga fixture of the season on Sunday. A large crowd was treated to an exciting match, which Rapid shaded 2:1 thanks to goals from defensive duo Christopher Dibon and Christoph Schösswendter.
Late goals break away hoodoo
On Wednesday night Rapid finally put to bed a ten-game winless streak away from home. An end to end encounter was decided late on, as a goal from Traustason and an own goal earned the points for the Hüttledorfers after a lively encounter. Match report:

On Sunday Rapid took on Sturm Graz knowing a win would preserve their top-flight status. An excellent first-half strike from Tamas Szanto ensured that was exactly what happened as Rapid edged an exciting encounter.
