Andrija Radulović Will Stay in Green & White
Montenegrin international signs a permanent deal with SK Rapid.
Last winter, seven-time Montenegrin international Andrija Radulović joined SK Rapid on loan from FK Vojvodina Novi Sad. The versatile attacking player was able to gel with the team quickly, and made 18 competitive appearances in the spring, scoring three goals (most recently on Match Day 32 against Salzburg).
Now that an agreement has been reached with his former club on a permanent deal, the speedy attacker will also be seen wearing Green & White in future, and he has signed a contract until the summer of 2029. Radulović was still on international duty just a fortnight ago and provided an assist in a friendly against Armenia to give his home country a 2-1 lead in an eventual draw.
Managing Director of Sport Markus Katzer commented on the signing of the Montenegrin, who celebrates his 23rd birthday on July 3rd: "Andrija Radulović has already shown his undoubted potential several times in the spring and we are convinced that he will be an important reinforcement for us in the future. We've already seen in recent months that he feels very much at home at Rapid and in Vienna, so I'm very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with his previous club on the transfer terms. Our new coach Peter Stöger was also extremely positive about the signing of Radulović, who will be on holiday for a few more days due to his call-up to the national team."
Andrija Radulović made his debut in the Serbian top flight in June 2020 at the tender age of 17 and scored from the penalty spot in his first professional match for his home club Red Star Belgrade under his then coach Dejan Stanković. In the 2022/23 season, the attacking player gained sufficient match practice as a loan player with the clubs Mladnost GAT Novi Sad and Radnick Sudurlica, who were playing in the Serbian Super League at the time (39 competitive matches, 10 goals), before moving permanently to FK Vojvodina Novi Sad in the summer of 2023. He quickly established himself as a regular in the country's second-largest city and made 60 competitive appearances, scoring 10 goals.
At SK Rapid he’ll continue to wear the number 49 jersey which he wore during his loan spell.
