Striker Philipp Prosenik will spend the coming season in the colours of Wolfsberger AC. The 23-year old has made a loan switch to the Lavanttal stadium, with clubs also agreeing a clause the Carinathian side can trigger to make the move permanent.
Prosenik spent two years between 2007-2009 in the Rapid youth sets up, also representing Chelsea and AC Milan at youth level. In 2013 it appeared that the young Austrian youth international's career was in trouble, but he was given another chance to prove himself in Hütteldorf. In October 2013 he began to rebuild his career with the reserves in the Regional League East, before making the step up to the first team for the start of the 2014/15 season. Prosenik has gone on to make 54 first team appearances in the meantime, finding the net on 9 occasions (7 in the Bundesliga, 2 on the ÖFB-Cup).
Sporting Director Andreas Müller said on the transfer: "We'll closely watch his development at WAC and hope for Philipp that he gets plenty of time on the pitch."
