The anniversary derby saw Peter Schöttel send out his side in their preferred 4-2-3-1 formation. Prager and Trimmel made their returns to the starting line up, and it was Trimmel who had the first chance of the afternoon with a header. Rapid got on top early in the possesion stakes, with the cross town rivals from Favoriten failing to manufacture any meaningful positions in the final third. With half time approaching a Hofmann corner was met by a Sonnleitner header, but Lindner in the Austria goal gathered safely. With a breakthrough never really threatening to materialise, half time arrived with the deadlock in tact.Stronger start to second halfIt was the same eleven who emerged for the Green Whites at the start of the second half. Christopher Trimmel did well to get on the end of a Hofmann free kick just three minutes after the restart, but Lindner again thwarted the effort. Atdhe Nuhiu joined the action in the 64th minute at the expense of Prager, the striker's introduction was followed shortly after by that of Deni Alar, this time it was Drazan who made way.Chance for TrimmelIn the 86th minute sub Nuhiu sent over a perfect cross that was met by Trimmel, but the crowd looked on in despair as the winger's header crashed against the crossbar and away to safety. It was the last flicker of hope in a disappointing derby encounter that is unlikely to live long in the memory.Tipp3-Bundesliga, 21st round:SK Rapid - FK Austria 0:0Ernst-Happel-Stadion, 29.400, Referee EinwallerSK Rapid: Königshofer - Schimpelsberger, Sonnleitner, Pichler, Katzer - Heikkinen (82.
