Captain Ljubicic faces several weeks out
In Sunday's draw against RB Salzburg there was a worrying moment for Didi Kühbauer's players: Following an unfortunate challenge, our captain Dejan Ljubicic was left stricken on the ground and in considerable pain. In the end he needed to be helped off on a stretcher, and following an MRI today it was confirmed that he suffered a torn ligament in his right ankle.
No operation is necessary, but our 23 year old captain will be out for several weeks, and is expected to miss the remaining matches of this calendar year.
We all wish Dejan Ljubicic a very speedy recovery!
