New Managing Director as of September 2025
Following the early contract extension of Sporting Director Markus Katzer and the appointments of the new head coach of the first team Peter Stöger and his assistant Thomas Sageder, another personnel decision has now been made in Hütteldorf.
The currently vacant position of Managing Director of SK Rapid GmbH will be filled as of September 1st, 2025. The position will be taken over by Daniela Bauer from Lower Austria, who has excellent connections in international sport and is currently head of the global partnership and sponsorship division at Allianz SE. She was previously responsible for the international marketing of the German Bundesliga at the DFL, among other things.
The future CEO of the Green & Whites, who was voted one of the official ‘Top 30 female leaders in sports business’ in Germany, will take up her post at SK Rapid GmbH in September, after handing over her current responsibilities at Allianz.
In her current position at Allianz SE, Daniela Bauer has, among other things, expanded the partnership with FC Bayern in the long term and built up the ‘Allianz Family of Stadiums’, which already has links to SK Rapid due to the Allianz Group's long-standing partnership in Vienna. The former FIS World Cup athlete (freestyle) not only brings her management and marketing expertise, but also an excellent football network.
President Alexander Wrabetz commented on the future Managing Director’s appointment: "We have taken the necessary time to make this personnel decision and I am very much looking forward to working with Daniela Bauer. As announced, her main focus will be on the areas of marketing and sales; she has an excellent network in the world of sports marketing far beyond Austria's borders. I am also convinced that she will fit in very well with the dedicated team at the office and will also form a good team with her fellow managing directors Steffen Hofmann and Markus Katzer."
An initial statement from Daniela Bauer herself: "I am very much looking forward to the new task at SK Rapid and the return to my old and new home. Rapid is not only a club steeped in tradition with great appeal, but also a club with potential for further development. Together with the team, I would like to contribute to strengthening the club's economic basis in the long term. It is a great honour for me to be part of the Rapid family in the future."
