Having already enjoyed a successful Summer transfer window that has seen the arrival of Christopher Dibon on a permanent contract plus Robert Beric, Srdjan Grahovac, Andreas Kuen, Stefan Schwab, Stefan Stangl and Philipp Schobesberger, we are delighted to be able to announce that Austrian U-21 International Florian Kainz has made the switch to the Green half of Vienna from Sturm Graz. The 21 year old is currently undergoing a medical having agreed a contract that will see him remain in Green & White until the end of the 2016/2017 season.  Trainer Zoran Barisic was naturally delighted with the capture of Kainz: "Florian Kainz fits perfectly the profile of player we are looking to recruit and its obviously a pleasure to be able to welcome a current U-21 international into the fold. After a slight dip in form last Autumn Florian came back strongly is capable of playing both left or right forward positions."Sporting Director Andreas Müller on the acquisition of the speedy forward: "Florian Kainz has been on our radar for a long time. He's a player who fits perfectly in the team. Despite his tender age he already has a wealth of experience behind him and I'm convinced that he will genuinely strengthen us."Kainz burst onto the Bundesliga scene as a 17 year old and has gone on to make 98 appearances in the Austrian top flight (15 goals) and has played in the Europa League on 12 occasions (2 goals). In 2011 he picked up a league winners medal with Sturm. Kainz has also represented Austria at various levels, mading 17 appearances for the U-21's, 5 for the U-19's and 3 for the U-18's. He was also selected for the U-20 world cup squad, but his club decided not to release him for the tournament.
